No.50 Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, former Ministry of Information Industry, is one of the most important research institutes of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation & High-tech Enterprise and Model Unit of Shanghai. Also, the institute is allied to Chinese Institute of Electronics Microwave Society and Quality Superintendent Center of Electronic Industrial Wireless Monitoring Equipments.

　　Founded in 1958 and changed to research institute in 1977, No.50 Research Institute locates at Putuo Zone of Shanghai with an area of 23.5 ares. In the suburbs of She Mountain, the institute possesses a comprehensive test station and a training center, which take up with an area of 32 ares. The number of the staff and works is more than 800. There are 9 functional departments, 10 forefront departments and 2 holding companies.
